Principal’s Message – October 5th
Dear École Herbert Spencer Community,
A short week but a great one! Our Fitness and Run Club kicked off this week and our Leadership Students started organizing for our first Forest Family Day on October 8th. Thursday, October 9th is Class AND Individual Picture Day. We will begin with our youngest students in the morning and work our way to the Grade 5’s by mid day. More information will come home as to how picture packages may be purchased through our new supplier – Artona.
Our first Fun Lunch took place on Friday with great success! Don’t forget to order your child’s fun lunches. Deadline for ordering is 1 week prior to each lunch date – however you can order for all the Fall Lunches now. A schedule for all our Fall Fun Lunches and information for all current PAC fundraisers can be found on the PAC Website!
October 22nd and 23rd we have early dismissal days to accommodate Parent/Teacher Conferences. Teachers will reach out to families directly to arrange individual conference times. We will also hold our annual Scholastic Book Fair on both days in our School Library. October 22 from 12PM – 7PM and Oct 23rd from 12PM – 6PM.
Leadership Club!
Fitness & Run Club for Grade 3, 4, & 5 Students
Students will participate in Running, Fitness & Relays every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:15-8:45 for the month of October. Students are asked to meet in the Gym at 8:15 (using the side Gym doors) to drop off bags and get set to run outside if weather permits. If weather isn’t cooperating students will remain in the gym. Information and Permission forms are available at the front office. Hope to see you there!
Lost and Found!
Our Lost and Found has already grown considerably within the first month! Please stop by the Main Office and see if there is anything there that belongs to your family!
