WE NEED CARNIVAL VOLUNTEERS! – May 29th 5:00-8:00pm
We have too many unfilled volunteer spots we need to fill if we are going to be able to make this great event happen. Free admission to all those that Volunteer.

Don’t forget to preorder your 2025/26 Yearbook for a reduced price! Order Now!
We will have a limited number of copies available for purchase in person after delivery for $30 cash only.
Reading Link Grand Challenge!
Congratulations to the Super Reading Pangolins who competed in the Reading Link Grand Challenge this past Wednesday at Centennial High School in Coquitlam! While they didn’t come out on top they competed well and have much to be proud of, as do all of our participants in this year’s Reading Link Challenge! Thanks again to Ms Thomas and the PAC for making this happen!
Grade 2’s at the VSO!
Huge thanks to the PAC once again for supporting such great activities for our students! On Tuesday all of our Grade 2’s went to see the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra!
Grade 4/5 Track and Field Meet! – May 28th 9AM – 2:00PM (Mercer Track)
Attention all Parents of Gr. 4/5 TRACK athletes!!!
Please help your student athlete to get to EVERY track practice (unless sick of course) as we only have a couple of weeks left to train before the final track meet on THURSDAY, May 28th from 9-2pm at Mercer Stadium!
The track practice days and times are as follows:
At Herbert Spencer school……
Every TUESDAY at lunch in the gym!!
WEDNESDAY at 8:15 – meet in the gym and train on lower field
At Mercer Stadium…..meet at track 8-8:15 and all athletes will be walked back to the school – Friday, May 8 and Friday May 22
Please also watch for a permission notice next week that will need to be signed and returned with all of the info about the final track meet!!

Freezie Fridays are BACK!
Freezies will be available for purchase at 3PM dismissal outside the school’s main entrance and at the corner of 2nd and Princess on Friday May 8th, 22nd, June 5th, 12th and 19th!
A LOONIE gets you half a JUMBO FREEZIE and a TOONIE gets the WHOLE THING!!

Rocky Point Ice Cream Gift Card Fundraiser
From May 25th to June 5th our community can purchase Gift Cards through Munch-a-Lunch. Card will be available for Pick Up on June 12th from 6:30 – 7PM. The School receives a portion of al sales and you receive a SWEET TREAT you were going to Buy anyway! or … Give Away …
Herbert Spencer Carnival is Back! – May 29th 5:00 – 8:00 PM
The much anticipated Herbert Spencer Carnival is back and will be held on Friday, May 29th from 5:00 – 8:00 PM.
Tickets and Food are available for purchase using School Cash Online
Adults – $5
Students – $10 (under the age of 5 is free)
Hot Dog or Veggie Dog/Chips/Water Combo – $5
*The event will be rain or shine and we will not be able to offer refunds
*Tickets can be purchased right up until the date but hotdog combo order deadline is Friday May 22nd
*We NEED VOLUNTEERS to make this event possible. If adults volunteer they don’t need to purchase a ticket! VOLUNTEER SIGN UP!
*Please let Mr Manville know should you need support with ticket or food purchasing for this event.
